CMC Retreat 2016: Where the Good Way Lies
October 21 – 23
Camp Brethren Woods

Thus says the LORD:
“Stand at the crossroads, and look,
Ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies;
And walk in it, and find rest for your souls.” –Jeremiah 6:16

For the past year, CMC has worked together on a vision process, listening to the Spirit through a variety of activities including listening sessions, an online survey, attaching our dreams to helium balloons, texting our CMC values during worship, and open space technology discussions. Through this process we discovered that our congregation especially feels called to engaging diversity, growing in relationships, and deepening faith.

A number of initiative proposals that help us to move into living out these values together have been explored and developed by CMC committees and commissions over the past few months. At this year’s retreat, we’ll review what we have learned through the vision process and actively work together to continue developing specific initiatives that we believe God may be calling us to undertake in the next chapter of our life together. Come ready to rest, play and work, as we continue to seek God’s good way for CMC together!
