This class will focus on climate change and creation care, listen to the voices of impacted people, and discern our calling to care for the planet. Discussions will center around the Shifting Climates podcast, produced by EMU grads. Topics explored include impacts and solutions; eco-anxiety; climate justice; Anabaptist environmental ethics; youth perspectives; congregational responses; voices of conservative churches, and more. Come ready to share and learn (young and old alike, as our MYFers will be in the mix, too!).
Class resources can be found at Sustainable Climate Solutions.

Witnesses to the Incarnation: Character Studies for Advent, Christmas, & Epiphany
This four-session series features character studies of Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the Magi. We will search the Gospels of Luke and Matthew to discover who these characters were in the 1st-century world they inhabit. We will ask what happens to them as they become witnesses to the Incarnation. And we will ponder what it means to live deeply with these stories and characters in our own 21st-century world. Witnessing the Incarnation, whether then or now, is not for the faint of heart. Join us if you dare!
Facilitator: Dorothy Jean Weaver
Location: Room 109
