Pastors

Jason Gerlach has been serving CMC since 2005 (half-time as Youth Pastor until January 2012).  He relates to the Community Life Commission and Outreach Commission, in addition to providing pastoral care, leading a men's Bible study, and teaching and preaching.  Earlier, he served five years at Virginia Mennonite Conference as Conference Youth Minister.  Jason graduated from Eastern Mennonite University and Seminary.  In 2017, he earned a Master of Theology from Union Presbyterian Seminary (Richmond).  When he is not at CMC, spending time with his family, or reading literature, he is cheering for a Philly sports team.

 

 

 

John Stoltzfus

John Stoltzfus has been serving CMC as an interim pastor since January 2024.  He relates to the is providing pastoral care, teaching and preaching, and supporting the work of commissions as requested.  Earlier, he pastored at Lombard (Illinois) Mennonite Church and taught English in China for two years.  He also works with Second Mountain Farm, is father of four and married to Paula Stoltzfus, a pastor at Park View Mennonite Church. John graduated from Eastern Mennonite University and Seminary.

Joyce Peachey Lind has been serving CMC since 2020. Joyce relates to the Faith Formation Commission and Worship Commission, and does pastoral care, teaching and preaching. She graduated from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in 2022 with an M.Div. in Christian Faith Formation. Previously Joyce served as the church administrator at CMC, taught first grade at Eastern Mennonite School, and wrote and edited curriculum for Shine. Joyce enjoys music, reading, and coffee and conversation with friends. She and her husband, Myron, have two sons.

Elders

Three elders support the work of the pastors, meeting regularly with the pastors to hear about their ministry and providing pastoral care to congregants in collaboration with pastors.  Amy Eanes is our third elder; photo coming soon.
