Thursday, November 19, 7:00 p.m. in Seminary Room 123: Three visiting scholars from the University of Religions and Denominations in Qom, Iran, will give a short presentation about their university and then one, Dr. Naeimeh Pourmohammadi Mahounaki, will speak on the topic of "Comparative Sufferings: Imam Hossein's Martyrdom and Jesus Christ's Crucifixion." The event is open to the public.

Valley music aficionados will have a rare opportunity Sunday, Nov. 22, as the Shenandoah Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Shenandoah Valley Children’s Chorus (SVCC) perform together for just the second time. The concert is 4 p.m. in Eastern Mennonite University’s Lehman Auditorium. A $7 donation is requested to benefit scholarship students in the Preparatory Music Program.

Our Community Place seeks a full-time Media & Events Coordinator. Our Community Place is a community center in Harrisonburg, Va., that is open to anyone in the world, and is particularly dedicated to including in it's work and activities individuals dealing with poverty and difficult life circumstances. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate person with considerable skills in the areas of organization and implementation of events, written communication, web site maintenance, and social media.

Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center is accepting applications for Program Director.  The Program Director is part of the leadership team and oversees our summer camp ministry, our challenge course, our pool, and some non-summer programmed retreats.  Desirable qualifications and experience include: Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience, experience in program design and ministry, experience in a leadership role at a summer camp, certifications necessary to lead/teach in ropes course operation and aquatics/lifeguarding. This is a year-round position, weekends required. Compensation is dependent upon experience and includes benefits. On site housing is provided and is required. Interested?
