The work of the church is organized into five commissions. Each of these manages several committees.

Church Council

Administration Commission

The Administration Commission stewards our congregational resources by managing our facilities, grounds, staff, and budget.  The commission includes the following committees:

• Grants & Compassion Committee

Community Life Commission

The Community Life Commission cultivates our congregational life by facilitating activities, events, and ministries that strengthen relationships within our congregation. The commission includes the following committees:

• Arts Committee
• Hospitality Committee
• Small Group Committee
• Welcomers
• Lending List Committee
• Retreat Coordinators

Outreach Commission

The Outreach Commission discerns ways to minister to our local and global communities through collaboration with other congregations and organizations, and by disbursing financial resources beyond ourselves. The commission includes these CMC ministries:

• Faith Allies coordinators
• Valley Interfaith Action representatives

Worship Commission

The Worship Commission coordinates the worship life of our congregation focusing on Sunday worship and special services such as Ash Wed, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve. The commission includes these committees:

Faith Formation Commission

The Faith Formation Commission sponsors growth in faith and discipleship for people of all ages–children through senior adults.  

The commission includes the Child Protection Committee, which oversees our Safe Church policy.  

Additional Information

• Personnel Committee manages decisions related to paid employees of the church
• Gifts Discernment Committee helps members of the congregation find ways to share their talents
• CMC is a part of the Allegheny Mennonite Conference  of Mennonite Church USA. CMC names delegates to each body to represent and vote on behalf of the congregation at business gatherings.
